Biography

A Born Political Candidate

I immigrated to Canada as a young boy in the early 80's and has been involved in community work from the start. I grew up in a household where my father was a Minister who was passionate about his community and was called upon at all hours for his assistance. I watched as he took the time to address each person's concerns and advocate for people who felt voiceless. I am following in my father's footstep where the same passion for the community fuels my ambition to run for City Council.

I've lived and worked in the west end of the City of Toronto with my wife and children for over 25 years. I've worked hard in the Rexdale and surrounding communities for years with the youths, seniors, the disadvantaged, homeless and the hungry. I am an avid advocate for all in the community who need my help.

With the rash of gun violence affecting our community and the number of young people losing their lives, I founded the Young Lives Matter Outreach program. This program provided counseling among other services for the families and friends of the victims of gun violence. I also headed a food bank distribution program which supplied food to seniors who were shuts ins, disabled or at a disadvantage to leaving their homes.

I have seen the population of the community grown over the years and services decline at the same time. I have made the decision that I can be of greater help to the community at large by being an integral part of the political scene. That is why I am running for Councillor for Ward 5 this year to make REAL CHANGE at City Hall for the residents in the City of Toronto.
